Real Materials, Not Shortcuts

Wool felt, straw, and leather trims are chosen for how they age, not just how they look on day one.

Decades of Hatmaking

Wigéns has been shaping hats since the 1940s, and that experience shows in the fit and finish of every model.

Built to Hold Its Shape

Blocked and finished by hand, each hat keeps its structure through rain, wind, and regular wear.

Fits More Than One Outfit

Classic silhouettes mean a Wigéns hat works with a suit today and a jacket and jeans tomorrow.

Hats Story

Wigens started because most hats out there are built for a photo, not a job. We make ours for the version of you that’s actually outside — fixing something, walking the dog in the rain, standing on a job site at 6am. No logos the size of dinner plates, no “limited edition” nonsense. Just hats cut from materials that hold up, priced like they’re meant to be worn, not collected.

We test everything on real heads doing real things before it ever goes up for sale. That means soaking a prototype in a downpour and seeing if it still holds its shape three weeks later, not just checking if it looks good under studio lights. If a stitch pattern fails after twenty wears, we scrap it and start over — we’re not interested in selling you something that needs replacing every season.

There’s no founder-in-a-flannel origin story here, no “one man’s dream to disrupt headwear.” Wigens exists because somebody got tired of paying premium prices for hats that fell apart by winter, and figured there had to be a better way to do this without the markup or the marketing spin. That’s still the whole idea. Buy one, wear it until it’s genuinely worn out, then maybe buy another.

Reviews

“I bought this for a wedding and ended up wearing it every weekend since. The crown holds its shape even after being packed in a suitcase for a week.”

Daniel M.

“Living in Austin means sun protection is non negotiable. This one breathes, unlike the straw hat I bought at a boardwalk shop that fell apart in a season.”

Priya K.

“Took this on a fishing trip and it survived rain, wind, and getting sat on in the truck. Still looks like the first day I put it on.”

Common Questions Answered

How long does delivery take?

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days, with delivery arriving 5–10 business days after that, depending on the destination. International orders may take a bit longer due to customs processing.

How should the item be cared for?

Brushing gently with a soft-bristle brush helps keep the material looking fresh between wears. Storing on a shelf or in a box, rather than stacked or crushed, helps the shape hold, and keeping it away from prolonged direct sun or moisture prevents fading or warping.

Is there a warranty on defects or damage?

Manufacturing defects are covered for 90 days from the delivery date. Photos of the issue are typically requested to process a replacement or refund quickly.

What is the return policy?

Items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they remain unworn and in original packaging with tags attached. A refund or exchange is issued once the returned item is received and inspected.

How is the right size determined?

Each listing includes a sizing chart based on head circumference, measured in inches or centimeters. Measuring around the head just above the ears with a soft tape measure gives the most accurate result before ordering.

What’s the best way to get in touch with support?

A contact form is available on the site, along with an email option, and most inquiries receive a response within 24–48 hours on business days.
